At KAPPY DESIGN, we are 100% committed to protecting the privacy and security of our customers and site visitors. As customers ourselves, we understand how important it is that you feel respected and protected when entering your data online. For all our services, the data controller is KAPPY DESIGN EU.

Depending on the information, we use your data in a few different ways.

Your name and contact details:

We only use your name and contact details for the bare minimum. In order to perform our contract with you, we use your name and contact details to deliver your purchases to you, and to send you order updates via text, email, and the app. We also use them to send you the KAPPY DESIGN newsletters. These might include interviews with designers, articles on fashion, design or products, and other bits we reckon you’ll enjoy — plus updates on products, launches, offers and special collections or collaborations.
As per GDPR (May 2018), you can unsubscribe any time with one click — just hit 'unsubscribe' in any newsletter, or email info@kappydesign.eu, and someone from our privacy team will sort it out for you manually.

Preventing fraud:

Fraud’s the ugly side of online shopping — and we’re having none of it. To prevent it, we may use your date of birth, name, IP address, and contact details. For more on how we do security checks, see our FAQ page.

Your payment information:

To complete your order, we need to take your payment info — standard stuff. We only use this to process payments and issue refunds. We don’t keep this info once the sale is closed, apart from noting the type of payment method used.

Your contact history with us:

We’re online shoppers too, so we get it — continuity and personal service are key. We keep a record of any messages or emails you’ve sent so we can give you bang-on customer service.

Purchase history and saved items:

To complete orders and offer support (like handling returns or faults), we store info on what you’ve bought or saved to your basket. We also use this to recommend other items you might like and to keep things relevant. As with everything, you're free to unsubscribe from recommendations anytime with one click.

Information about your device and how you use our site/app:

When you use the KAPPY DESIGN website, we automatically collect info like your device type and IP address. This helps us improve your experience and spot anything fishy (read: fraud). See our FAQ for more on security checks.

Keeping your information:

We’ll only keep your data if we need it. If you want to be removed from our system entirely, just email info@kappydesign.eu and one of the team will help. If we’re legally required to hang onto certain info (like for our T&Cs), we might not be able to delete everything, but we’ll do our best.

Heads up: If you choose not to share certain personal info, you may not be able to shop online with us, and we won’t be able to give you the full experience with product recommendations and tailored service. Your choice, no pressure.

GDPR Compliance

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into play on 25th May 2018 and brought in some new rules for data privacy. We treat all personal data with total respect — we’ll never sell it, and the only third-party platform we use is a marketing tool (like MailChimp) to send newsletters.

KAPPY DESIGN newsletters might include interviews, features, or product updates — and we only send them to folks who’ve actively opted in. We’ve always been crystal clear about this, and every email gives you the option to unsubscribe.

Want to unsubscribe now or later? No dramas — either click the "unsubscribe" link in the footer of any email, or pop us a note at info@kappydesign.eu. Want to update your info or preferences? There’s a link for that in the email footer too. And of course, you can ask us to delete all personal data we hold on you at any time.

We’ve updated our privacy policy to keep it easy to understand — no jargon, just straight talk about what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. You’ve got full rights to update, manage or delete your data.
